5 night 6 day tour to Guwahati - Sualkuchi - Kaziranga - Majuli

Day 01: Arrival at Guwahati airport and transfer to hotel and cheek in. After refreshment and tea/ coffee drive to Sualkuchi(45 km/ 2 hrs) to visit the famous silk village.

What to see: Sualkuchi enjoys immense pride in being one of the largest weaving villages often referred to as the Manchester of the East. The special golden silk(Muga Silk) of Assam, Sualkuchi occupies a unique place in the map of silk production of the world having more then 18,600 looms and 20,000 weavers are engaged with this occupation bringing forth pride to the North East India.  We will spend 2 hrs to explore the primary process of making Adi and Muga silks hand-woven and colorful dresses etc.

Lunch reroute depends of your arrival at Guwahati. Rest of day at leisure. Overnight at Guwahati.    


Drive to Kaziranga National Park (250 km / 5 hrs). Lunch reroute. Dinner and Overnight in Kaziranga.

Day 03: Kaziranga National Park

Early morning  elephant safari in the central (Kohora) range of Kaziranga which will last for about an hour.. Later return to the resort for breakfast. Two jeep safaris to different range of Kaziranga National park. Overnight at Kaziranga.

What to see: Kaziranga National Park situated at the bank of river mighty Brahmaputra spreading an area of 430 sq km, the home of Five Big, One Horned Rhinoceros, Royal Bengal Tiger, Asiatic Wild Water Buffalo and Swamp  Deer . Apart from this the mixed vegetation of this park provides save home for 30 more mammals, Reptiles, Amphibians, 500+ birds including 100 of them long distance winter visitor.

Day 04: Majuli 

After breakfast, leave for Nimati Ghaat (110 km / 2 hrs approx) from where catch the ferry service that will take you to Majuli along with your four wheelers in the ferry, approximate will take 2 hours ferry ride to reach Kamalabari Ghat, from the shore 30 minutes drive to reach tourist lodge/traditional hat/Guest house and Check- in. After lunch leave for day activities.  Overnight at Maluli.

Day 05: Majuli

After breakfast leave for Day long activities at Majuli. Lunch and dinner at the same places you used to stay. Overnight at Majuli.

What to see:  Majuli is the largest riverine island in the world with the population of around 1,50,000 with 240 villages,22 Satras (Vaishnava Monastery). Majuli is the best place to see the various Vaishnava Satras founded by Assamís pioneer Vaishnavite Saints Sankardeva the father of Assamese culture  and his isciple Madhabdeva in 15th Century. Ever since Majuli emerged as the crowing glory of Vaishnative culture in Assam. During stay at Majuli we will try to show you various Satras, life style, traditions, culture of Mising tribe the largest riverine plain tribe of North east India as well as Monks of Vaishnative Satras, famous Mask-crafts centers, traditional tribal dishes etc.

Day 06: After breakfast short drive to Kamalabari Ghat to catch ferry approx 2-3 hrs ferry ride back to Nimati Ghaat and 45 min drive to Jorhat Airport (25 km) for departure flight.
